Public consultations on the projects of water management plans officially launched

17 December 2014 r.

Launched during the conference attended by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of environment, Stanisław Gawłowski, and 150 stakeholders, public consultations on the drafts of the updated water management plans (aPGW) have officially started. For the first time, the plans have been drafted in 2009 and according to the Water Directive, they must be updated every 6 years.

"Reliable Plans" for the water region of Small Vistula and Upper Oder River are on the way!

Nearly 150 people, representatives of more than 90 communes and institutions connected with water management in three regions (voivodeships): śląskie, opolskie and małopolskie got a head start on drafting the first issue of the Flood Risk Management Plans in the water region of Small Vistula and Upper Oder River. The works are led by the Regional Water Management Authority in Gliwice.

Information about launching the works on aPGW and PZRP

31 July 2014 r.

Acting pursuant to the national law in force and following the EU directives, the President of the National Water Management Authority has started drafting the update of the national water and environmental programme, river basins management plans and flood risk management plans in river basins. At least one year before they are published, the aforesaid drafts are scheduled to undergo public consultations. The works will be carried out in 2014 and 2015. According to the law, the documents should be finalised by 22 December 2015.
